Visit California partnered with father-daughter duo Kevin and Alyssa Cronin of @kickballdad in December 2025 for a five-day, sports-focused road trip across California that showcased the Golden State’s iconic destinations and dynamic sports culture. Shared across TikTok and Instagram, the content reached a combined audience of more than 2 million followers, helping position California as a premier sports destination ahead of the 2026 Super Bowl and World Cup.
The journey began in San Francisco, where the Cronins searched for the city’s famous wild parrots on Telegraph Hill, rode e-bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge and capped off the stop with a Golden State Warriors game.
From there, they traveled south along iconic Highway 1 toward Los Angeles, making stops along the Central Coast in San Simeon, Morro Bay and Oxnard. In Buellton, they visited OstrichLand USA to feed the resident birds. In Oxnard, the day started on the water with kayaking through Channel Islands Harbor, followed by lunch at Sugar Beats and sports-themed fun at the Dive Game Lounge at Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach.
The trip concluded in Los Angeles, where Kevin and Alyssa attended an LA Kings game at Crypto.com Arena, played virtual sports in a Topgolf Swing Suite, toured SoFi Stadium and explored Manhattan Beach.
The collaboration is part of Visit California’s broader strategy to engage audiences through partnerships that highlight the state as the ultimate playground for sports and major events ahead of a milestone year. By pairing marquee sports moments with distinctive California experiences and an iconic road trip route, the campaign reinforced the state’s position as a world-class destination for both fans and travelers.
